VA Caregiver Support

VA Caregivers Support Program has two main programs:

  1. Primary family caregiver program for veterans who served and were injured after 9/11 and the spouse is working as the primary caregiver of the veteran.
  2. General caregivers support program – Available to anyone who is providing assistance to a veteran without compensation.  They provide educational programs, referrals, resource information, training and follow-up.
  3. Respite Program – This is an option for severely homebound patients whereby a team of 6 professionals will make an in-home assessment and determine benefits.
