As a result of a study recently issued by HealthGrades, a leading independent healthcare ratings organization, MoBap was named the #1 Hospital in Missouri for Cardiac Services in both 2009 and 2010.

According to HealthGrades, Missouri Baptist is five-star rated for both Coronary Interventions and Treatment of Heart Attack. In fact, Missouri Baptist is the only St. Louis area hospital to receive a 5-star rating for better than average mortality rates for in-hospital, 30-days post-discharge and 180-days post-discharge. Missouri Baptist has been five-star-rated for treatment of heart attack for seven years in a row (2005-2011).

Missouri Baptist also recently received the highest level of Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers, an international organization dedicated to eliminating heart disease as the number one cause of death worldwide. The hospital’s “door-to-balloon” time now averages less than 60 minutes. Door-to-balloon time is the time it takes from when a heart attack patient enters the ER door at Missouri Baptist to having blood flow restored to their heart via balloon angioplasty.
